One system of record for direct deals, funds and the principals who ask about them.
Single and multi-family offices see eclectic deal flow: directs, co-invests, funds, the occasional operating business. SamCIO screens all of it against your mandate, documents every decision, and keeps reporting ready for the family, without adding headcount.

Screen eclectic deal flow against a real mandate
Encode the office's investment policy as a thesis: sectors, stages, check sizes, anti-thesis. Every opportunity that arrives, from a banker's teaser to a founder's deck, gets graded through the same weighted framework in about 60 seconds, so pass decisions are fast and defensible.
A defensible record for principals and trustees
Family offices answer to families. Every deal in SamCIO carries its memo versions, votes, notes and a time-stamped activity trail, so when a principal asks why the office passed on something two years ago, the answer is on record rather than in someone's memory.
Portfolio and reporting without the quarterly scramble
Positions, rounds, ownership, MOIC and XIRR live next to the deals themselves. Quarterly reports generate from the same record, in your voice, covering portfolio composition, recent decisions and pipeline activity.
Discretion is structural, not contractual
Every workspace is isolated at the database layer with row-level security, and the isolation is covered by automated tests that run the actual attack on every code change. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, integrations are per-user with private credentials, and Enterprise deployments can run on a dedicated instance.
Common questions
We invest across asset classes. Does a deal framework still fit?
The framework is yours to define: sectors, stages, check sizes and weights are all configurable, and multiple funds (or sleeves) can run in one workspace with different criteria. Directs and co-invests benefit most; fund commitments can be tracked as positions with their own records.
Who sees what inside the office?
Pricing is per workspace with member limits by tier, and every member works from the same record with logged actions. Integrations (email, notetakers) are connected per user and credentials are never visible to teammates.
Can the office keep using its existing models?
Yes. Upload the Excel model to the deal and Sam reads it as part of underwriting, so the analysis reflects your numbers rather than replacing them.
Is there a dedicated deployment option?
Yes. The Enterprise tier is a private, dedicated instance with custom integrations and a security review, as an annual license from $150k per year. Most offices start on the standard Firm tier and move if governance requires it.
